Kortslutningsförluster (kopparförluster, belastningsförluster) är de förluster i en transformator som orsakas av den aktiva effekt som förbrukas av ett par lindningar vid märkfrekvens och referenstemperatur medan märkströmmen flödar genom den yttre ledaranslutningen på en av lindningarna och anslutningarna på de andra lindningarna är kortslutna. Kortslutningsförlusterna är proportionella mot belastningen.
