Switchgear construction

Switchgear is electrical equipment that is required for power distribution and load aggregation. The equipment is used, for example, in electrical network stations of industrial and utility plants, power supply systems of buildings and mass transit systems. Furthermore, switchgears are used in all other areas of electrical engineering that require an individual solution for power supply. The main functions of switchgear are to protect equipment from overloads and short circuits, and to distribute and control electrical voltage. Furthermore, switchgear can isolate circuits, control industrial motors or perform measurements of the power supply. Switchgear construction is therefore a diverse field that, with the necessary know-how and experience, represents an important component in electrical engineering.
