Site Acceptance Test

The Site Acceptance Test (SAT) is the inspection of a machine or a plant directly at the customer’s premises. The product is set up by the manufacturer at the customer’s premises and undergoes careful testing to ensure that it meets the requirements for full functionality. The functional test of the plant directly at the installation site is a further proof of quality to the customer. In addition to the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) which already takes place after production at the manufacturer’s site, the SAT is another important step in the quality assurance of plants and machines and should be carried out independently by each manufacturer if necessary. The SAT usually takes place on request by the customer, the acceptance is checked and successfully carried out by the manufacturer in the next step.
