Product details of BS single-phase control transformers

Breimer-Roth GmbH produces single-phase control transformers according to DIN EN 61558-2-2 in various standard voltages. The input voltage can be adapted to the respective mains voltage by means of the +/- 5% tapping provided. The terminals for the input and output voltage are back-of-hand and finger-touch-proof in accordance with DGUV regulation 3. With a power rating of 50 VA – 250 VA, a combined mounting of the transformer is possible using top-hat rail mounting. The mandatory use of control transformers is regulated in DIN VDE 0113 Part 1.
Our control transformers are manufactured as single-phase transformers with separate windings – galvanic isolation – and fixed voltage combinations and can be used in the frequency range of 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
The single-phase power of the BS series is 1.2 kVA (1,200 VA) at 24 V output voltage and 3.0 kVA (3,000 VA) at 230 V output voltage.
All transformers in the BS series are individually packaged and can be used worldwide with UL approval UL 5085 (XPTQ2/8).

Areas of application for the BS single-phase control transformer

The BS series transformers are single-phase transformers with input voltages of 230 V or 400 V and output voltages of 230 V or 24 V for the supply of control and regulation devices. Due to the different power grids worldwide, which are often operated without a center conductor, a control voltage cannot be provided. Control transformers have a low voltage drop with an inductive load. According to DIN VDE 0113 Part 1, a control transformer must be provided in electrical systems if machines and systems have more than five electromagnetic actuating coils, relays and contactors, if control and regulating devices are installed outside control cabinets and machines or if electronic control or signaling circuits are to be supplied.
