UL/CSA approved transformers

Below you will find our Single-Phase and Three-Phase Transformer series with UL/CSA approval. The Single-Phase BS series is provided with fixed voltage combinations with an input voltage of 230V or 400V with 5% tap and a fixed output voltage 230V or 24V. Fixed voltage combinations are also found in the single-phase BSUS/BSUL series.

Freely selectable voltage combinations are possible in all other single-phase and three-phase series according to customer requirements. All transformers can also be produced by us with housing and accessories and UL/CSA approval.

Our UL/CSA approvals at a glance

Electrical Insulation System Standard: UL1446/Category Code OBJY2/OBJY8 File: E475312
This approval is required as a basis for a full approval. All materials used in the transformers are tested for chemical compatibility under the influence of temperature in a long-term test. The result is an approval for a corresponding insulation system in relation to a temperature class.

Full approval Standard: UL5085/Category Code XPTQ2/XPTQ8 File: E483928
This approval tests all required transformers for their electrical values, heating and the materials used. Transformers that have this approval can be installed in control cabinets or other equipment without any further concerns. Here, no additional tests are required by UL.

Approval for switchgear Standard: UL508A/Category Code NITW7/NITW8 File: E469721
This approval refers to enclosures and switchgear cabinets for the US and Canadian markets. All materials used must be approved accordingly. In addition, the required clearances and creepage distances and various marking requirements must be met. If the control cabinet meets all requirements, it will be provided with an approval sticker and serial number.
