Site Acceptance Test

The Site Acceptance Test (SAT) is the acceptance of a machine or system directly on site at the customer’s premises. The product is set up by the manufacturer at the customer’s premises and undergoes careful testing to ensure that it meets the requirements for full functionality. The functional test of the system directly at the installation site is further proof of quality for the customer. In addition to the factory acceptance test, which takes place at the manufacturer’s premises after production, the SAT is another important step in the quality assurance of systems and machines and should be carried out independently by each manufacturer if necessary. The SAT is usually carried out at the customer’s request; the acceptance test is then checked and successfully completed by the manufacturer.
