Short-Circuit Losses

Short-circuit losses are those losses of a transformer which occur due to the absorbed active power of a pair of windings at nominal frequency and reference temperature while the nominal current flows through the outer conductor connection of one of the windings and the connections of the other windings are short-circuited.
