DEFINITION OF TRANSFORMERS

CONTROL TRANSFORMERS ACCORDING TO EN 61558-2-2

The control transformer has electrically isolated windings according to EN61558-2-2, and is used to supply auxiliary circuits. Control transformers have a low voltage drop under inductive load. In electrical systems, a control transformer must be provided in accordance with DIN VDE 0113 Part 1 if: Machines and installations have more than 5 electromagnetic actuating coils, relays, contactors, etc., control and signalling devices are mounted outside control cabinets and machines or if electronic control or signalling circuits are to be supplied.

MAXIMUM RATED VALUES:

Input voltage: ≤1100V
Frequency: ≤ 500 Hz
Maximum power for single-phase transformers: 25 KVA
Maximum power for three-phase transformers: 40 KVA
